At approximately 5:00am John began having difficulty breathing and required resuscitation and was once again moved into the Cardiac Cathatarization unit. During this cath procedure, John faltered on the table and required some additional resuscitation. Additionally, they placed a very small, temporary pump near his heart to help it pump efficiently. He was taken back to the intensive care unit. This was an extremely tense time as we were hoping he would stabilize and would not require additional resuscitation. Throughout the day and night there was tremendous support from friends, family, coworkers and church members. The waiting rooms were full of people who love John and the support was absolutely unbelievable. John’s kidneys started to falter which is common in patients who have been through this level of trauma. He has been through a tremendous amount of procedures, stress and his body has been through a lot. A port was placed in his jugular vein and he was given dialysis to remove the acid which had built up in his blood.
