Tuesday, June 2

On Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at approximately 7:00pm, John and Holly went to the store. Holly was just riding along with him and was already in her pajamas thinking that it would be a quick trip to the vitamin store. After going into the store and purchasing some items, John came out and Holly saw him fall down. She thought he was joking at first (as we all know he is famous for) but soon realized that wasn’t the case. She went to him and rolled him over and saw he wasn’t breathing and immediately started giving CPR rescue breaths. The store owner, Monica, soon came out and called 911 and then began doing compressions to assist Holly. These two brave, strong women continued their efforts until EMS arrived and took over. John was immediately taken to North Cypress Medical Center where paramedics and emergency room personnel continued to revive him. They stabilized him enough to get him into the cardiac catheterization lab and soon he was undergoing a procedure which would assess blockage and damage so repairs could be made to his heart. Within approximately two hours, he was moved to the intensive care unit. We were told by the cardiologist that the blockage had been alleviated and that his heart appeared strong otherwise.
