Well, with each step forward we are hit in the face with the reality that this path is lengthy and it has curves.
John has an infection and we are not sure where it originates. He is being treated with a broadband antibiotic and hopefully that will knock it out. The pulmonary doctor heard a murmur while listening to John's heart. We aren't sure what this is so an EKG will be performed to try to determine if there is a problem or if it is an infection, etc. The EKG can also measure blood flow to make sure that the valves in his heart are functioning properly. Hopefully we will know more this afternoon about that.
John is scheduled for dialysis this afternoon because his creatin levels remain high which means his kidneys are not functioning as they should.
John is currently being fed through a tube which goes up his nose and down to his stomach. They will remove this tube as soon as he is done receiving nutrition. This is a thick liquid which I tried to convince him was gonna taste like pepperoni pizza or a burger! Today will most likely be a day of waiting for doctors and hoping everything is okay.
